[For a moment, Ignis is sure that Noctis will send him away. It still could be the case. He tenses up, and he finds himself ready to beg. Beg for Noctis to just let him stay, just let him be close for a little while. Please. Ignis doesn't even want to imagine how his life would be without Noctis and the others, what he would do if he was left behind?
For a little while, he was the one avoiding Noctis, but for exactly this. Ignis didn't want to be reminded how he won't be able to let him go. Maybe keeping a little distance would have made things easier, but of course he couldn't do that. They couldn't do that. They spent most of their lives together, why would it change now?
Ignis knows he has to be the mature one here, like he always is. He should be the one offering to stay behind, so he won't drag the others down. But he can't. The same stubbornness tells him to go on as long as he could, which told him to put on the ring.]
